Belongingness is as important as inclusion and diversity as it is the element that creates a culture where individuals are emotionally and socially secured about being their authentic selves. Heightening the sense of belongingness in individuals reassures them of the absence of any mistreatment and discrimination in whichever setting. You can choose to include someone in a group but still be inconsiderate of their sense of belongingness. The provision of an uplifting and supportive setting is a good example of strengthening one’s sense of belongingness.
